Leverburgh WiFi Network - Wireless Internet

Wireless internet is the combination of two technologies. With technology similar to both Satellite TV, and Cellular Phones we can provide a high speed internet connection. It is similar to Satellite TV in there is a small radio receiving antenna located at your home or place of business. It is similar to Cellular Phones in that we have an distribution point located somewhere near your home. Our distribution point sends and receives information to and from the antenna located at your home or place of business. Allowing for a high speed, secure internet connection that is always on.

There are some great advantages to wireless internet:

• For one it doesn't use your phone line, so there is no need to get a second line and people calling you will never get a busy signal because you are surfing the net.
• There is no logon time, wireless internet is always available, just open your browser or mail program and away you go.
• You don't have to be located within a rural development to receive wireless internet, like satellite and cellular services there is no need to have any cable or even a phone line to use it.

The disadvantages to wireless internet are very few. The main disadvantage is being located within our distribution points access. If your home or place of business is located to far away or there is no somewhat clear line of site you may not be able to get enough signal to take advantage of our service but there are ways we can assist in the signal acquisition.
