WiFi Network - Data Recovery
Unfortuantely there are times when technology fails
us. As computers get older components can fail and, if we are not
careful, our computers can become infected with viruses. In most
cases the solutions are simple and have little impact on our lives
but sadly there are also times when these problems can cause severe
disruption. The most annoying is when a hard disk fails or is wiped
clean by a nasty virus.
When this happens most people assume that all is
lost but that is not always the case.
More often than not a hard
disk has developed bad sectors (bad spots on the disk) and the
disk becomes unreadable by the computer's operating system. If
this occurs we can read the disk using other software and copy
the information over to a new hard disk. Unfortunately it is not
always possible to recover the information stored on the area that
has been damaged but in most cases there is a 99% recovery.
If your hard disk has been wiped clean by a virus
the hard disk appears to be empty to the operating system. This
is not the case as the information is still there. In fact, when
we delete a file this also remains on the hard disk until it is
overwritten! Most viruses only wipe what is called the boot sector,
this is basically a map to the information on the hard drive (when
a file is deleted it is just removed from this map). It is therefore
possible, using special software, to rebuild the map and copy the
contents over to a new hard drive. The old hard disk is then reformatted
and the information transfered back and your hard drive is back
to (almost) perfect.

problems occur so if your hard disk fails contact us |
