Leverburgh WiFi Network - File Download Service***

Leverburgh WiFi Network is run on a not-for-profit basis for the benefit of the community provinding broadband speeds for home and business use. As part of the service we have many facilities designed to help our users but also to ease the load upon our servers and backhaul.

Leverburgh WiFi Network can offer services not seen by most Internet Service Providers. As part of our package we are offering users the ability to prebook large file downloads. As more services are made available to broadband users it is cleara that file sizes are also increasing. The most obvious case in point is the recent role out of Microsoft's XP2 which would have taken many hours to download using dial-up from our exchange. Over our network this was able to be done in less than one hour.

Obviously, if every user decided to download this file at the same time there would be uneccesary pressures upon our servers and backhaul which could, ultimately, reduce the speed available to each user. To alleviate these pressure we have decided to offer a file downloading service. If a user has a file of over 100mb we can download these files during our off-peak times, burn them to CD/DVD using our back-up services and pass them over to the user.

The advantages are obvious but extremely similar to our back-up service:
1. You have a security back-up of your files.
2. You have no need to leave your machine downloading for hours.
3. Your file will be downloaded when the network is not busy ensuring that you have maximum speeds.
